Skilled Hedge Maintenance IN GILLINGHAM, KENT.

Hedges come in a variety of different styles, shapes and sizes, Usually used for Privacy and to give your garden it's boundary, left too long and Hedges can soon get out of control and without the correct equipment they can become to hard to maintain for the average gardener.

At Valley Garden Care we are skilled to deal with Hedges of all varieties, from small trimming to maintain shape to cutting back hard to re-control height, density and shape.

Hedges can be trimmed at any time of year but it's important to know that bud growth in Spring / Summer will be removed if the hedge requires being cut back hard, although it will then be left " twiggy " it'll soon rebud. We will advise the best way to deal with your hedge(s) and give a professional opinion, In some cases to keep the " Greenery " we may recommend dealing with the Hedges in two stages, first stage a short reduction and shape cutting back but leaving a coat of the buds, then a return visit in late Autumn/Winter to cut back hard ready for the following Spring Growth.

New Hedges require formative pruning for the first few years usually carried out in Winter and Spring, then after this general trimming is carried out Once a Year but for Formal Hedges Twice a Year, this usually in Spring and Summer.

Important
